2009 Mayor's State of the City Address
A Lawrence resident for 18 years, Michael H. Dever received his B.A. in Environmental Studies/Geography from the University of Kansas.
Dever is president of GuideWire Consulting, a Lawrence-based environmental technology consulting firm. He has worked as an environmental consultant since 1985, managing environmental assessment programs for several Fortune 500 companies. He has performed hazardous materials assessments on more than 30,000,000 square feet of educational, governmental, commercial and industrial facilities and has designed and managed hazardous material remediation projects on more than 300 projects. Dever helped develop a program for integrating hand-held digital data collection technology with site reconnaissance and property review to provide accurate, efficient and easy-to-read documents.
A member of Heartland Community Church, Dever is married to Lee Beth Dever. Together they have two children, McKenzie (13) and Kylie (11).
