Youth Sports
The Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department's Youth Sports Division provides opportunities for youth to participate in activities, which assist in the development of skills, including coordination, teamwork and communication.
The Youth Sports Division is a member of the believes in the philosophy that all youth should participate and have FUN!
The division promotes sportsmanship, education and accountability. Whether it's in an elementary/middle school, high school or youth sports league, the Youth Sports division offer unique approaches for putting FUN back into the game.

Heinrich League (U14) - Fall baseball for those kids 14 and under. Registration is in process with a maximum of 8 teams being accepted. Games will begin late August and run through the first weekend of October. Games are played on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
LPRD will also be in its third year of administering the "HOOPSTERS" basketball program. Registration information will be available in August with the actual program to begin late October.
LPRD Recreation Basketball Registration deadline is Thursday, Sept. 16. Practices begin the week of Oct. 25 (elementary schools). Games begin Saturday, Nov. 6, (Community Building, East Lawrence Center & Holcom Park Recreation Center).
